I’ve been with my husband, Ryan, for 19 years, and together we’ve built a life centered around our family. We have raised five incredible kids, and without a doubt our family is our greatest accomplishment. Each of our kids are unique in their own way, and we couldn’t be more proud of them. Our family has a big personality; we can be loud, energetic, and a little chaotic at times, but the bond we share is one of our biggest blessings.
When I learned I was going to be a grandmother, I knew I wanted to give my grandchildren something special and meaningful. My own grandmother made beautiful quilts for all her grandchildren, and that memory sparked an idea. I wanted to learn how to quilt so I could give my grand babies the same heartfelt gift.
That curiosity quickly turned into a passion. I started watching YouTube tutorials, which led me straight down the quilting rabbit hole. After hours of watching videos, I finally pulled the trigger and bought a starter sewing machine. Before I knew it, I was piecing together endless squares, practicing new techniques, and spending every spare moment at my dining room table learning how to sew. I was completely hooked.
In May of 2025, I retired after 25 years as an Administrative Assistant in law enforcement. I loved my career and originally planned to continue for another five years, but when our grand babies arrived, I knew it was time for a new focus. I wanted to spend as much time with them as possible while staying active and fulfilled doing something meaningful.
I never imagined that “something” would lead to starting a business, especially in the quilting world. What began as a desire to make something special for my grand babies has grown into a full-fledged passion. Quilting unlocked a creative side of me I never knew I had, and with every finished quilt I’m reminded how rewarding it is to create something from the heart.
Lovey Louise Fabric is the result of that journey. This new adventure is a blessing I’m deeply grateful for, combining my love of family, creativity, and fabric. I’m so excited to share that joy with others who find meaning in creating something special...one yard at a time.
Why Lovey Louise Fabric?
When I began quilting, every project started with a vision. I would spend endless hours looking for the right fabric and could never seem to find exactly what I wanted. At times, finding the right fabric took longer than making the quilt. I started exploring designer and distributor collections and discovered the fabrics I had been searching for. That is what inspired our shop.
We aim to pick fabric based on themes that will connect with every kind of creator. Whether it is something colorful, cute or cuddly, we feel we have something for everyone. While we are still a small little shop, we are growing every day in hopes of becoming your go-to fabric store.
